OB-GYN located in Financial District, New York, NY

About Dr. Pilshchik

Dr. Lina Pilshchik, DO is a top New York City ob-gyn, providing Manhattan-area women with skilled, compassionate care for a wide array of obstetrics and gynecological issues. Her dedication to providing whole-body health is the cornerstone of her philosophy, and she ensures every patient she treats receives individualized attention and care focused on their unique health needs.

In addition to general gynecological services like routine annual exams and Pap tests, Dr. Pilshchik also provides highly-skilled care for women with high-risk pregnancies, fertility issues, sexually-transmitted diseases and hormonal disorders. Her experience in laparoscopy techniques means she can offer her patients the safest, most effective, most advanced minimally- and non-invasive medical procedures for optimal outcomes.

Dr. Pilshchik's practice is founded on the principles of osteopathic medicine in which optimal health derives from treating not just diseases and medical conditions, but from helping to ensure the whole body is in good health in order to maximize the body's own healing functions so healing is faster and more complete.

Born in Latvia, Dr. Pilshchik came to the U.S. in 1994 to study medicine. After graduating summa cum laude with a bachelor of science degree in biology/premed from Long Island University in Brooklyn, Dr. Pilshchik earned her D.O. at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine before completing her osteopathic internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, where she earned honors in research and teaching.

A published author, Dr. Pilshchik is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, a fellow of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopy, and a member of the American Medical Association, Member and American Medical Student Association.

When not treating patients, Dr. Pilshchik enjoys spending time with her nine-year-old daughter and their dog, traveling and learning about new cultures and countries, and a variety of sports activities, including running, swimming, biking and working out. In addition to English, she speaks fluent Russian.
